Paul R Posted September 12, 2009 Posted September 12, 2009 That is some really great stuff, Grant. I really like the Stassi Oberst grouping. Do you have a suspicion that it is not a good set?
kimj Posted September 12, 2009 Posted September 12, 2009 Isn't the stasi Banner der Arbeit document one of those being sold on German eBay? In that seller's listing he writes that the document is a "replica". He writes "replica", I have another word for it... Nice collection by the way! Too few East German award collections around. /Kim
Grant Broadhurst Posted September 12, 2009 Author Posted September 12, 2009 On the "stasi" banner set i know the medal is good and i got it for peanuts from a British Ebayer , the document and photo just don't look right just a gut instinct .
kimj Posted September 13, 2009 Posted September 13, 2009 No doubt that the Banner der Arbeit is good. But here's a pic from the auction I mentioned. For those who want to see it: eBay Nr 300346044296 /Kim
karnet Posted September 13, 2009 Posted September 13, 2009 Hello kimj! The "Oberst des MfS" in the document of "Banner der Arbeit" is a fake! Dirk
speedytop Posted September 13, 2009 Posted September 13, 2009 (edited) Hi, it is not a fake, it is a copy! It is the "same" set in Post 187 and in Post 194. You can find this set three times! 300346044296 300338231985 300332416571 But he always write: mit dazugehörige[r] Urkunde (Replik) with appertaining document (copy) mendofroad: please, you must always look for "Replik" "Kopie" "kopiert" or other words like that in his auctions! Regards Uwe Edited September 13, 2009 by speedytop
