Alex K Posted May 28, 2007 Share Posted May 28, 2007 (edited) In my collection I have the attached decoration from the Franco Prussian war 1870-71, awarded by the state of Bavaria, unfortunately some damage to the reverse. Is this a military decoration, or red cross? and is it a female/male award. waldo Posted June 13, 2021 Share Posted June 13, 2021 Servus Alex, the case has only a blind embossed line at the top and has no hinge but only a strip of linen. The jobs were shared by Quellhorst and Hausinger. The cases are identical except for the manufacturer's name in the lid. Above you can see a Quellhorst Cross of Merit in a Hausinger case.
