Emigrated to South America after the end of WW2, then to the US in 1948, where his daughter already lived. Practiced again in several NYC hospitals and died in Manhattan in 1971, at 93. Daniel Krause
On 01/12/2021 at 20:23, Dave Danner said: The Oldenburg Oberlehrer Hermann Becker was a Lt.d.R. in RIR 440. Hermann Gustav Wilhelm Becker, born on 24.3.1885 in Hekese, Bersenbrück, died on 8.1.1974 in Oldenburg. Known decorations are the HOH3X, BremH, OK1 and Ehrenkreuz für Frontkämpfer. He was a junior Oberlehrer during WWI, with a Dienstalter of 1.10.1912, and he was named an Oberstudienrat on 1.4.1940, so he likely also had the Treuedienst-Ehrenzeichen. Best, Daniel Daniel, He was in 9./RIR 440 when he received the BremH in February 1918. III./RIR 440 went to IR 164 when RIR 440 was disbanded on 14.9.1918. Looking closely at the Militärkabinett list, I think the RIR 441 Lt.d.R. (HOH3X on 22.4.1918) might be 440. If so, that's him.
