zaivars Posted July 21, 2013 Posted July 21, 2013 Its not possible to collect all Cuba medals, as some of them are very rare.
Rogi Posted July 23, 2013 Posted July 23, 2013 It is possible, if you have the cash flow and you can still find 1 of each ! where there is money, there is a medal! lol
Taz Posted July 26, 2013 Author Posted July 26, 2013 Found image wich proves FAR revers. Hi zaivars, Bit late, i seem to have missed your question, strange i think i should have been notified that there was a new post, oh well nvm. Yes that Far reverse is a wierd one, it's the only one to date that i have seen and it is in my humble Cuban collection. With regards collecting (Castro) Cuban awards, all seem to be availiable . Distinción "Constructor de Obras Nucleares" is harder to get and the Medalla "De la Emigración" not often seen, but they are there. Regards Eddie
zaivars Posted July 26, 2013 Posted July 26, 2013 It is possible, if you have the cash flow and you can still find 1 of each ! where there is money, there is a medal! lol I dont thnik that is possible to buy ORIGINAL Cuba Hero star. There are only about 60 pieces. And so high award is not possible to buy from awarded personb or his family. But almost half of all Socialist Cuba collectors have this star! How can it is possible? Answer is simple - copies, restrikes! Who have in collection Obras Nucleares 15 anos? Please show pic! best regards.

Answer is simple - copies, restrikes! Who have in collection Obras Nucleares 15 anos? Please show pic! best regards. Hi again, Obras Nucleares 15 anos might exist (in stock) but was never awarded, the critaria was never met because the Nuclear plant shut down without being completed, the award was created on 12th March 1989 and on September 5th, 1992 Juragua building work was suspended. In October 1995 - January 1997 a restart of the programm was attempted. As for the Gold stars, Ochoa and Tamajo's Hero stars have been up for auction over the years. Unlike Soviet Gold stars the Cuban variations are at the most gold plated silver and are never numbered, many many more have been produced than have been issued or are ever likley to be to. Those for sale which can't be attributed to a recipient have gone missing from the stock i imagine Many questions still to be answered but not many years ago absolutley nothing was to be found on Cuban awards at all. Regards Eddie
zaivars Posted July 27, 2013 Posted July 27, 2013 I dont know about Nucleares 15anos. Maybe it exists in stock, but I have never seen it. Similar is with Nucleares 10anos. Almost all medals are with incorrect ribbon. My opinion: its a big problem to collect all Cuba medals. If there was 2 Cuba hero stars on auction, it means that 2 people can own them. Not more. This is the same thing - impissible to collect all. I think that serious collection can be completed only with original items, no copies or restrikes. It not american style of award making and collecting. It comes from Ussr.
UnboxingCuba Posted January 24, 2021 Posted January 24, 2021 One of the main problems with Cuban State awards is that medals are not properly identified with a serial number like in the US. This allows the State-owned manufacturer to produce as many as it wants and are sold later "sous la table".
SICHERHEITSDIENTS Posted August 19, 2023 Posted August 19, 2023 Dear Gents Please I need to Know about period and What are these 2 Cuban devices used for?
