when GSFG went back I had the opportinity to get several busts from Lenin rooms and from different offices. Unfortunately I was not able to visit all camps. Perhaps you could show your busts here. I am very interested to see them.

nice collection .

I have a small standing Lenin, a small Lenin-bust, this plaque http://www.collectrussia.com/DISPITEM.HTM?ITEM=16851 and a Lenin-portrait painted in Fedoskino-manufacture.

My question:

The metal is very, very lightweighted - do you know the composition ?

Hello Christian,

in most cases the lightweight models are made of cast aluminium. Some are die-casting (Spritzguss)

I've got something of a Brest fortress collection in its own right too.

On the shelf with the busts you can see a silver Belarusian ruble with the Brest Hero Fortress memorial on it.

a user in another forum had informed me, that the bust in Post 20 is from Zoya Kosmodemyanskaya, one of the first female Heroes of the Soviet Union:

There are some nice art in this thread. I just got a new Lenin and took a pic of him. Here he is, standing tall at about 35cm.

Here is his twin. He was presented in 1977. My other soviet busts are stored deep in a box, so no more pics to show. For some reason my wife doesn't like them in the bookshelf.
