Recently got this photo of Adolf with his ever-present cigar, and his Mickey Mouse plane logo in the background. I love his hat; it's almost as cartoonish as the mouse. :D

Can you, please, make a high definition close up of the stick pin

Do you mean that little diamond-shaped thing on his left lapel? I'll try my best later this evening.

Is that a stickpin for the Knights Cross? He doesn't appear to be wearing that decoration in this photo.

I think Francois is correct! Unfortunately, I can't put my hands on my emblem book, so I can't be sure which one.

I'm afraid I'm going to have to dig through a few boxes to find the photo. I'll post when I find it!

    Well, some logic here

In this well known photo, A.G. wears a cufftitle "JAGDGESCHWADER SCHLAGETER", not visible here but on the internet photo - look also the units pins on the plane and the plane by itself, he is not yet "General der Flieger" meaning he was still attached to JG 26.

Some years ago was offered for sale a wooden map of France with painted each victory location and date

On last H.H. auction was offered for sale, the medal group of for the fighter ace Adolf "Adi" Glunz

I can, of course, be wrong

Hello Fran?ois. I'm afraid I can't get an image any more clear than the one you posted above. It looks to me like a four-leaf clover.

It does look like the clover of JG4. The problem is that this photo was taken July-November, 1940, while Galland was still a Major. JG 4 was not formed until a year later. So is this just a "good luck" pin or a predecessor formation badge of a group which later became JG4?

Could JG4 have adopted it based on what Galland was wearing when this photo was taken?

Always possible with these little pins that it might be war effort donation pins as well (WHW) so you can at least bear that in mind.

An example below (from 1936 onwards), don't have time to search through all of the WHW books.
