Richard Gordon
WernerIn posts 6 & 7 I can see, what looks like, red thread. Can you check it out and let us know what it is? I'm wondering if this has been 'upgraded' from a flak tunic to flight??Rich

Paul R
You are right. I had to make the photos larger on my screen. I see the pink thread as well. Can you please take a photo of the top of the shoulder board, focusing on the shoulder seam where the boards are sewn in? Something seems odd there as well, although it might simply be the angle of the photo.
Sprocket
The shoulder boards have been put on the wrong shoulders; should be reversed. But I've actually seen original Army general's tunics, tailor-made, in which the shoulder boards were put on the wrong shoulders, or they were not a matching pair, two lefts or two rights. Chris Boonzaier
Agreed, it is not uncomman to have switched boards... looking at the book on Fighter pilot RK winners, of the diamonds winners both Gollob and Lent have them on like this.I think the issue of the red thread may be a bit worrying?
