EK 1914 Help with maker on EK2 packet needed

Can anyone make out the maker shown here. The cross that came with the packet is a lovely CD800 marked example.

That could be a a fantastic hot trace to the "CD 800" maker marked crosses! I can read Carl Dillen.......That would be a perfect match to the "CD"!! Fantastic!!

I agree, it looks like a possible maker for CD has finally turned up! Very exciting - I just wish it was in my collection!!

from a practical standpoint: while CD is not the most

common MM, i do see it very frequently. is there any

way to find out whether this was an active, established

firm?

This is a very nice find and can tell you guys wich company is to find on that packet (after a chat with the museum of jewellery at pforzheim) :

Carl Dillenius / Pforzheim

So i guess with this find we do finally kow that the CD = Carl Dillenius

The company does exist for over 150 years (founded in 1856 by Carl Dillenius).

So lets toast on this rgeat forum and another discovery
