norwest78
I'm afraid I don't recognize the badge beneath the pilot badge in this photo that I have. Any ideas?

Guest Rick Research
It is nothing official from any country that I recognize. From the lack of WW2 awards on anybody visible, this appears to be taken in the late 1930s. Any name/date/place on back?He has a heck of a lot of presumably WW1 ribbons and is quite old to have no 1914 EK1... by which I'd guess he's an Austrian and this is 1938/39. speedytop
Hi,very interesting, because that is the:"?sterreichische Sport- und Turnabzeichen" (?STA),the Austrian sports badge.http://www.bewegung.ac.at/download/22/sub0/22_1106_3426.pdfIt must be a picture direct after the reunion!RegardsUwe

Scott
Geez - that officer looks like a mean SOB. The airman in the background seems to be dancing the hokey-pokey... Edited August 11, 2008 by Scott
Guest Rick Research
I agree. The Old Eagle still has his "stare" which is why I am hoping there is a NAME on back so he can be identified. I can't make out any of the ribbons or his rank (Major or higher) so it will need a name.Must have been hard learning to goose step from scratch! :cheeky:
norwest78
You guys are GOOD. Rick, I'm sorry but the back only says "Agfa." I doubt that's his name.BTW, does anybody have a photo of this sports badge? Thanks and regards,Kevin
