CRBeery Posted January 25, 2009 Posted January 25, 2009 Here is an old bar in my collection that has become one of my favorites. No enamal or rare awards.
CRBeery Posted January 25, 2009 Author Posted January 25, 2009 The back. I like the old trapezoid bars.
CRBeery Posted January 25, 2009 Author Posted January 25, 2009 The little extra. This is one of the larger button hole groups I have seen.
Tom Y Posted January 25, 2009 Posted January 25, 2009 Great bar. Is that the right precedence for the D?ppel and Alsen? What does the back of Unsere Fritz say?
CRBeery Posted January 25, 2009 Author Posted January 25, 2009 I believe the precedence to be correct based on the following:
CRBeery Posted January 25, 2009 Author Posted January 25, 2009 Tom, It reads Friedrich III German Kaiser 9th March 1888.The second bar I posted is also one of my babies. It is sitting on all four of the award documents for the medals!

CRBeery Posted January 25, 2009 Author Posted January 25, 2009 (edited) A bit closer. If you can read the writing please type it for me. I need help with the old hand writing. Edited January 25, 2009 by CRBeery
Wild Card Posted January 25, 2009 Posted January 25, 2009 Fantastic! Absolutely fantastic! I absolutely love those old bars; and you are so right -the lack of enamel has a certain charm of it's own.Congratulations and best wishes, Wild Card
Deruelle Posted January 25, 2009 Posted January 25, 2009 One of the nicest group I have seen since a long time. Impressive Christophe
VtwinVince Posted January 25, 2009 Posted January 25, 2009 Really great document grouping, as well as medals. From what I can make out, it reads "Fuesilier Friedrich Wilhelm Tuemmel von der 2en Compagnie Brandenburgisches Fuesilier Regiment No. 35".
