Chris Boonzaier Posted February 8, 2009 Posted February 8, 2009 I think along with the MC and EK one of the best designs ever....Nice babies!
TerryG Posted February 9, 2009 Author Posted February 9, 2009 Thanks for the comments. I like these....only problem is the rising costs!
TerryG Posted January 4, 2010 Author Posted January 4, 2010 VERY NICE, LOVELY COLLECTION Demir Tessekur Demir. Only problem....plenty more to find to complete the collection :speechless1:
Brian Wolfe Posted January 4, 2010 Posted January 4, 2010 I just took a break from the woodshop (I'm still on vacation) and thought I'd have a coffee and check out the posts. Wow! Sweet collection! You've given me a good reference to compare with if (when?) I run onto one for my collection. Thanks for updating your post. Very nice indeed. Regards Brian
avsaribar Posted January 10, 2010 Posted January 10, 2010 Terry , Your collection became very nice.. All the best , Avsar
Steve campbell Posted January 13, 2010 Posted January 13, 2010 Wow! A group of these look nice don't they?
Tim B Posted January 16, 2010 Posted January 16, 2010 Very nice Terry! Yes, they aren't getting any cheaper. I see you're missing a Werner, they are outstanding IMO; Hope to have as nice a collection one day. Congrats! Tim
Tim B Posted February 7, 2010 Posted February 7, 2010 (edited) Terry, I don't want to hijack your thread or get too far off-topic but, I seen this piece on Detlev's last update and thought it was interesting as the screwback is marked "Hansen". Looking at the enamel patterns though, is closely resembles other makers. Do you have any that match? 9-rivets Thoughts anyone? Tim Edited February 7, 2010 by Tim B
TerryG Posted February 7, 2010 Author Posted February 7, 2010 (edited) Quite an amazing piece! What a shame the additional parts are missing (tughra, date, and even an extra crescent). I do not have anything like that in terms of the appearance of the enamel. I think I have one with 9 rivets which also has these separation lines under the enamel but not quite as pronounced (top left star in the 1st photo of this thread). You need to ask our Turkish friends Demir and Avsar about that. I assume it was sold within seconds? US$301! Edited February 7, 2010 by TerryG
Tim B Posted February 7, 2010 Posted February 7, 2010 Yes, I could only imagine what the price might have been had the piece been complete. He also sold a nice painted version for US $136. It will be interesting to see if Hansen is the actual maker of the star or just the screw disk. Tim Oh, PM sent on the other issue.
demir Posted February 7, 2010 Posted February 7, 2010 Terry, I don't want to hijack your thread or get too far off-topic but, I seen this piece on Detlev's last update and thought it was interesting as the screwback is marked "Hansen". Looking at the enamel patterns though, is closely resembles other makers. Do you have any that match? 9-rivets Thoughts anyone? Tim Hello, I think this is Godet and the screwback is made by Hansen. Here is a picture of the reverse of an Godet at home, it has 9 rivet holes with the same pattern. 9 th is behind the pins loop. Thanks demir
Tim B Posted February 8, 2010 Posted February 8, 2010 Hello Demir! Thank you for confirming that, as I too have pictures saved of pieces with enamel matching Godet and another one that was not marked at all. Still one that I need to get but, wanted to confirm what I was looking at here. Tim
TerryG Posted February 20, 2010 Author Posted February 20, 2010 (edited) A new arrival. A little bit damaged, unfortunately Demir, is this a Meybauer as the Tugras and Mahlas look like the ones you posted?? Edited February 20, 2010 by TerryG
demir Posted February 20, 2010 Posted February 20, 2010 Hi Terry, It is lovely but the problem is it has no Meybauer seal. demir
