Jacques
It has always been my hope to someday see an original medal bar with one of these in it to a WW1 veteran-- after all, the average father of someone in their 20s in the late 1930s would presumably have been called up for 1914-18 service. Panzerpionier
Like this ?It should be a very sad thing to wear a medal that says "my son was killed".Best regards
Jacques
It should be a very sad thing to wear a medal that says "my son was killed".Best regardsMay be it is the reason why there is no pic showing it worn. In another hand, I suppose that some were proud that their son died for the country...jacques

I finally get the last piece to the full set ( affordable set ...)the cross is in bronzed tombac. it is very well detailed . the eagles are sharp detailed thus the cut out clutched swasticas. The ring is soldered at its extremities. the loop is a little bit oblong.Size:MM:unmarked cross:bronze hight with loop:42,2mm width:41mm disk;13,4mmring:11,3mm weight:12g

AlikN
I got one of those too, but unfortunately one of the eagles was broken off and lost,so I took the case from American air medal and made it for the cross with eagle in it.

Stan
I have in my files around 15 crosses like the first shown in this thread ,that look original, from private collections, books or sold by dealers. A single ribbon is to sell on Militariaweb. Don't know if it glows ...jacquesJacques,Here is my contribution. I bought it around 20 years ago. The cross itself is flat, not convex.Stan
