Luftwaffe ROAG early FLL

Thought I would show you this early FLL ROAG, with buntmetall wreath and aluminum eagle.

This is in top condition with high polish on the obverse highlights.

These are rare an so underrated. I know of only one with cupal wreath and alu eagle.

I must say that I’m not a big fan of FLL’s RO/AG or Observer badges, but this example is certainly helping me change my mind.

An unusual combination of materials + wonderful condition makes this badge quite special.

Very nice looking badge, Karsten. I've always liked the look of Friedrich Linden Air Gunner Badges. Here is a late war zinc version FLL badge that I have owned for a long time. It think it has a great look for a zinc badge.

This is the rarest FLL ROAG I have ever seen. Handled it last weekend. It is very light weighted.

It is most likely copper coated. I don´t think it is solid copper. In the meantime I have managed to secure it for my collection

@Eric that is a sweet zincer in the best condition. It has the age look to it, but is still in remarkable condition with highpolish.

Great to find a soul-mate of these ROAG and AG´s

It has been a while since I had this bugger in the hand, but my memory is clearing. The eagle and wreath is aluminum with a copper coating on the wreath. The entire badge weights only 13,5 gram.

Ditto! There are so few of us around! Hey K, regarding the FLL's - ever seen or heard about one of their buntmetal wreath ROAGs WITHOUT an aluminum or aluminum/cupal combination eagle? Every FLL ROAG example with a buntmetal wreath that I've come across has an aluminum eagle. Same goes for their Observer Badge - always seems to be buntmetal wreath/aluminum eagle combination!
