Anzac Sapper
I have one of these medals. It belonged to my grand uncle. He was John J Moore and he served with 2nd Field Company New Zealand Engineers. He served at Gallipoli. Martin.

paja
Greetings Martin and welcome to GMIC. I posted a list of British recipients HERE, your grand uncle's name is there of course. Company sergeant major John Moore was awarded with Silver Soldiers' Star.
ozmedals
Hi AndyG I have just joined the GMIC and came across your interesting thread on the O. of karageorge. I have a British group that is entitled to, but missing the Star of the O. of Karageorge, with swords, silver, 2nd class awarded in LG of 12 Apr 1917 It is an interesting group as follows : - QSA & KSA to Albert Buckler - R. Irish Fusiliers - 14/14 star trio to cpl/sgt A. Buckler - R. Ir. Fus. - Karageorge star 2nd class, silver - as awarded to NCO's This is the one without the white enamel of the order, and with a silver cross and gold/gilt rays between the cross arms, as in your first photo Any idea where I might find one to add to the group? thanks ozmedals - David in Sydney
922F
Hi David, Just saw your post. In my experience, the Order's silver crosses seem very difficult to find. Rarely they appear on eBay [sometimes on French eBay]. eMedals had them in the past. Just keep on checking dealer's lists and good luck!
