Stogieman
I was graciously allowed to fondle the most elusive example of my favorite Imperial piece in the world last night. However, It was suggested I be frisked when I left the room to visit the loo. "The Traveling Museum" was in town last night and we all had a marvelous visit. So, I think words cannot describe this little gem further.
Stogieman
Of course, a complimentary piece had visited in the past. Here's a refresher:
W McSwiggan
Breathtaking images but they do not fully replicate the "rush of the touch"! Was it hard to mask the drool spots when scanning??? saschaw
Wow. Stunning. Now you can imagine how I must have felt when I recently saw the 1736 issue of this order... Is this one from Napoleonic era?

sachsensammler
The medal is the so called 3. type from 1812-1840. There were only 150 awarded. The medal from 1870 is the same like 1914/1918. Regards, René
Stogieman
Greetings Rene and thanks. I received a message from The Traveling Museum exactly the same. I stand corrected! Therein lies some of the issues with the earliest of these imperial awards!! Thanks!!
