Richard LaTondre
I know that I sound like a broken record but what do all of these medals have in common? A dull flat reverse that looks very unfinished. The real ones (so far) are vermeil/gilt washed and usually polished with imperfect stamping (depth variations on the singular characters) Richard

They don't have any pins! Simple formula: Asia + Europe ... To say nothing about this wicked mutant in the center medallion ...

JapanX
Thanks Nick I think a copy of this medal would only be possible even in the asian market ... but being a rare item, it is very important to know more about her, not to be fooled by some dishonest dealer .. Until then I only managed three images of this medal, I can not find elsewhere. Can anyone translate what is written in it? Regards Lambert Sorry Lambert, but I couldn`t help you with reverse tranlation. But I`ll try to make it up to you Here we have photo of japanese major ( ) with this (and many others) medal. Regards, Nick I'm not sure, but maybe during WWI, the rivalry between China and Japan, were not so fierce. Since the medal was given only to government officials and Allied officers. Since the medal was given only to government officials and Allied officers. Lambert Strategic goals of Japan were always the same. Only tactics varied. Japan gladly supported 1911 Chinese Revolution hoping that it will weaken China and create separatist movement. In fact Japanese contribution was so substantial, that later Canton government issued special (and practically unknown) award "For Japanese Comrades" If you like I can post it in appropriate section of the forum.
