PAVEL Posted March 7, 2012 Posted March 7, 2012 My collection of Imperial Russia orders ; adding maybe 5 or 7 affordable orders to that collection seems a reasonable target, but I do not dream anymore of St Vladimir 1st class :shame: 1
Paul R Posted March 8, 2012 Posted March 8, 2012 Yes, I hear you. I wish I would have picked up more when the stuff was more reasonably priced.
Alfred Posted April 11, 2012 Posted April 11, 2012 Thanks for showing. Great collection of imperial russian awards. Andreas
Claudius Posted April 11, 2012 Posted April 11, 2012 Outstanding collection. But I have to say -and don't take this as an insult- but you photo doesn't do them justice. Could you show us some close-ups of your favorites, or most interesting ones.... please.
PAVEL Posted April 11, 2012 Author Posted April 11, 2012 Will try to post individual images, but am still wondering how we can go from 1Mb size or more to 70kb, without sacrifying the quality ?!
Paul R Posted April 11, 2012 Posted April 11, 2012 Are you using the JPEG format? Also, you may have to lower the resolution a bit. This can be done with very minimum impact on the appearance.
PAVEL Posted April 11, 2012 Author Posted April 11, 2012 Let's try with some pictures - by changing the size - yes, Paul they are JPEG. Deruelle Posted April 13, 2012 Posted April 13, 2012 Hello, You have got a very impressive collection. I like more particulary the St Stanislas order with X. Have you got the box to go with this medal ? Christophe

Christophe Hi Christophe, Yes, the St Stanislas 1st class w/swords in bronze is quite rare, I do have the corresponding star but no box (One day I found one marked with the manufacturer address in Petrograd, but too expensive) The same cross exists enameled on both sides. Regards. Pavel
