Bob Posted March 13, 2006 Posted March 13, 2006 60th anniversary of the KGB D09Anybody have a clue what the 597 on the inside of the doc is for on the left hand side of the page?
Ed_Haynes Posted March 16, 2006 Posted March 16, 2006 Technically not an award document, this has been descriped as a labor union membership book. This remains to be proven.
Ed_Haynes Posted March 16, 2006 Posted March 16, 2006 (edited) A "face of the Mongolian revolution"; as I read the book, she would have been 63 years old when this book was issued in November 1972. Edited March 16, 2006 by Ed_Haynes
Ed_Haynes Posted March 16, 2006 Posted March 16, 2006 (edited) The interior of the book seems to list her monthly payment of (union?) dues, through April 1984, when she would have been 75 years old. Edited March 17, 2006 by Ed_Haynes
Vatjan Posted March 16, 2006 Author Posted March 16, 2006 Technically not an award document, this has been descriped as a labor union membership book. This remains to be proven. This is very likely, the "MV3" symbol you find on the inside pages (in large yellow letters) is the actual abbreviation of the Labour (Trade) Union, you'll find it also on the union's badges (cfr Dr B: X21-21)Jan

Vatjan Posted March 16, 2006 Author Posted March 16, 2006 Thanks, Jan, for conmfirming my guess. Now, to read the text, . . . That's going to be a bit harderI can show you a Trade Union NIB though, to lighten your sorrow
Ed_Haynes Posted March 23, 2006 Posted March 23, 2006 A 1985 hard-backed alternate to the the Brigade of Socialist Labor badge (the little one, X 09).Also shown above as http://gmic.co.uk/index.php?showtopic=6043&st=01 with a paper document.
Ed_Haynes Posted March 28, 2006 Posted March 28, 2006 An earlier badge than the one shown above, at http://gmic.co.uk/index.php?showtopic=6043&st=05 (in an EBay-capture photo?), here is a documented "Shockworker of Socialist Labor" badge (X 12).
Ed_Haynes Posted March 28, 2006 Posted March 28, 2006 The interior of the interesting (though, to reference another thread, HEAVILY smoke-imbued) 32-page booklet has, after the initial information page, a series of all blank pages for recording, presumably, work achievements. These pages are dated, somewhat ambitiously, from 2000 to 2030.
Ed_Haynes Posted May 4, 2006 Posted May 4, 2006 (edited) Not much of a "group" but -- unusually -- one where the 25 Years of MPR Medal actually matches the document!(But what has been done to the enameled "ribbon"?!) Edited May 4, 2006 by Ed_Haynes
