Stogieman Posted March 30, 2006 Posted March 30, 2006 I'd be really careful....... not even the "experts" seem to concur on what's good and what's bad.
Riley1965 Posted March 30, 2006 Posted March 30, 2006 Stogieman, Thanks for the Heads up!! I'd still like a genuine one. It just grabs me Doc
Dolf Posted March 30, 2006 Posted March 30, 2006 Stogieman,Thank You!!! I have never seen that badge. I wouldn't mind having one in my collection. And I believe other dealers that you know may have it too.Dolf
Dudeman Posted March 31, 2006 Posted March 31, 2006 Dudeman, yes, pretty sure on this one. The entire group was purchased direct from the family in Giorgia. As a detached, outside observer not purchasing it directly from the family, the changing handwriting and added items are a red flag. I don't doubt the pieces fall in range, however convincing someone else may be a different matter without research. The addition of the earlier red star, and starting with block handwriting, then switching to cursive/block, then ending up cursive/cursive seem odd. Also, the 56 and 57 entries seem to be written at the same time, as well as the 53 and 81 entries. Just wierd.

Khyber Posted September 5, 2006 Posted September 5, 2006 Here is my only Order of Lenin. Can anyone tell me his name? I am not sure about the box, it looks like a later addition. This medal came from Yuri aka Boris Badanov.
