Odulf Posted July 3, 2016 Posted July 3, 2016 (edited) Obviously during the war, friends and family served in one of the many military branches or in some other uniformed organisation. When they met, it was fun to put as many different uniforms in one studio portrait as possible. Here are some from my collection, do you have more to show? Edited July 10, 2016 by hucks216
hucks216 Posted July 4, 2016 Posted July 4, 2016 (edited) Nice first image showing the U-Boat Combat Clasp. In fact the only awards seem to worn by the two Naval men in what is a late war photo. Edited July 4, 2016 by hucks216
Martin W Posted July 8, 2016 Posted July 8, 2016 (edited) Great subject. Here are a couple I have Edgar. The first shows two well decorated individuals,LW and KM. The second looks like three brothers,Heer,Luft and KM. Cheers,Martin. Edited July 8, 2016 by Martin W

hucks216 Posted July 10, 2016 Posted July 10, 2016 I'll pin this thread so it is easily found in the future and can grow. Great photos.
Martin W Posted July 10, 2016 Posted July 10, 2016 A wedding photo showing the uniforms of the Heer and Kriegsmarine.I cannot identify the uniform of the guy sitting on the right ? Cheers,Martin.
LarryT Posted July 10, 2016 Posted July 10, 2016 Nice photo. Looking at his tie and pants I would suggest the guy at right is wearing a tropical uniform worn by those serving in Afrika Korps and Italy etc. Cheers, Larry

Odulf Posted July 13, 2016 Author Posted July 13, 2016 (edited) Nice to see the Veteran's dress Larry, and I like the early style Army uniform. Some more Army guys with their relatives and/or friends: - Army (Radfahrabteilung 1) Cyclist and Police, in 1938; - Army (75th Inf.Rgt.) and Navy, pre 1939; - Army and Police, around 1935; - Army and Reichsarbeitsdienst, around 1938; - Army and Navy, two brothers Walter and Rudi who were both killed (the photo was likely manipulated to put them together); - Army (2 different uniforms) and Air Force, in 1941. LarryT Posted July 13, 2016 Posted July 13, 2016 Very nice portraits Odulf. It is interesting to see the different services that family members enlisted in. Here is another family portrait. The father is a high-ranking Forestry official. His very young-looking son is a Panzer man. Cheers, Larry
