    One of my favourites : the M?daille de la Fid?lit? Fran?aise. Awarded to inhabitants of the Alsace and Lorraine regions who had been imprisoned or exiled by the Germans during WWI, in recognition of their loyalty to France. The stars indicate the number of years in prison or exile.

    I can contribute the "Order of the Black Star of Benin" - Knight`s Cross and award document.

    And here we have the document.

    Unfortunately it is too big for my scanner. Hope you can see all the important parts.

    Very nice to see one of the French Colonial orders with its certificate. The recipient appears to be a crew chief (the correct English word escapes me for the moment) :speechless: of the French railroads in the Eastern Africa colonies.

    Cheers,

    @Hendrik

    Thank you for the hint on the Colonial Railroads.

    Here you see the Medaille Coloniale with one clasp.

    And my last French piece is the Medaille Outre Mer with 5 clasps.

    Don`t know if they are in the correct order ??

    Hello Eitze,

    For more information on both the Colonial and the Overseas Medal, check out my site : Hendrik's Medal Corner

    The correct order for the Overseas Medal bars would normally be (bottom to top) :

    Tchad - Liban - Za?re - Ormuz - Cambodge

    ... but even the French don't care all that much about it :P

    Nice 1st type Colonial Medal too !

    Cheers,

    Hendrik
