Chris Boonzaier Posted April 26, 2020 Posted April 26, 2020 Looks like the guy on the left has a Sam Brown belt!
Bayern Posted April 27, 2020 Posted April 27, 2020 The Kaiser itself weared many times a Sam Browne with the double prong buckle .
Glenn J Posted April 27, 2020 Posted April 27, 2020 Hi Chris, as Bayern points out, the Kaiser also wore a similar rig to that worn by Flügeladjutant Major Edgar von Hirschfeld in your photo. The two front straps were worn vertically and crossed over in the rear. Here is another picture of Major von Hirschfeld and his Majesty both wearing the leather belt equipment. Regards Glenn 1
Chris Boonzaier Posted April 27, 2020 Posted April 27, 2020 could it be that he wore it due to the problem with his left arm? Maybe he could not handle a swinging sword on a regulat strap?
