LuckySlevin Posted July 22, 2021 Posted July 22, 2021 Hi Gentlemen, I would be very gratefull if you could help me gather more information about the carrier and decorations dates of Georg Gabriel whose photos and decorations are shown below. The only thing I could find on the web was that he was serving as a diplomat in Varna between 1899 and 1906. 1
Deruelle Posted July 22, 2021 Posted July 22, 2021 Hi found this in the Orden Almanach from 1908 1909
LuckySlevin Posted July 23, 2021 Author Posted July 23, 2021 Hi Deruelle, Thank you lot for giving that information, the bar seems in line with his decorations, just the Bulgarian order of civil merit is missing. Lucky
LuckySlevin Posted July 24, 2021 Author Posted July 24, 2021 Photo was taken a piori in Varna til 1906. Looking in the 1904/1905 Orden Almanach he did not have yet the Proa.
Glenn J Posted July 24, 2021 Posted July 24, 2021 (edited) David, he was awarded the RAO4 on 18 January 1905. Lucky, you might be interested to know he was also awarded the Prussian Crown Order 3rd class on 6 May 1908. He was the Konsul in Fiume from 24 August 1906 until his retirement on 6 May 1908. Born on the 19th of May 1858 in Berlin, he died on 23 October 1911 at Lankwitz/Berlin. Regards Glenn Edited July 24, 2021 by Glenn J 1
922F Posted July 25, 2021 Posted July 25, 2021 Lucky, Gabriel's Bulgarian Civil Merit 3rd class neck badge would most likely be 2nd type with so called Tsarist suspension crown.
