Bernd_W Posted November 19 Posted November 19 (edited) IMO the case is not so seldom. "Allgemeines Ehrenzeichen" implies, it was used for all these medals, not only "Tapferkeit". Edited November 19 by Bernd_W
Stogieman Posted November 19 Author Posted November 19 This interesting bar brought 1236-Euro in Germany 2
Stogieman Posted November 21 Author Posted November 21 This was run through eBay.de with an asking of 2500-Euro 1
Stogieman Posted November 23 Author Posted November 23 Kind of surprised this didn’t garner more attention. It’s an extremely scarce piece, especially cased. I bought one forever ago from Detlev. I’m only aware of a couple other examples in private collections. I know it’s not a military award, but it sure is a pretty one! 451-Euro, eBay.de
VtwinVince Posted November 23 Posted November 23 You're right Rick, I thought that was a comparative bargain.
Stogieman Posted November 26 Author Posted November 26 The funny thing is the fakes of this routinely sell for $3-600, here’s a real one and final bid was only $152!

Stogieman Posted December 5 Author Posted December 5 This interesting Bavarian ribbon bar with a St. Michael’s ribbon brought $89
Stogieman Posted December 10 Author Posted December 10 Nice to see this, I think it’s a mid-printed KO stamp. Only thing missing is the internal tissue. eBay.de, 142-Euro
bolewts58 Posted December 10 Posted December 10 (edited) No. It's actually 'Y'. 'Y' was an unknown maker. 'KO' wrappers look like this. BTW. These never came with internal tissue. I've had several of them and there was never tissue. The cross, ribbon and black safety pin were wrapped as is inside the wrapper. Edited December 10 by bolewts58
Stogieman Posted December 10 Author Posted December 10 Thanks! I’ve actually had two that had tissue, or something similar, inside holding the cross. I have no clue at this point who the makers were!

Stogieman Posted Saturday at 12:47 Author Posted Saturday at 12:47 A busy week in Germany, common medal in uncommon condition, 258-Euro
VtwinVince Posted Saturday at 16:43 Posted Saturday at 16:43 Boy, those are some hefty numbers. I thought the Knauer box was only for the first class FA cross?
Stogieman Posted Saturday at 18:00 Author Posted Saturday at 18:00 I would agree, I believe the Second Class came in a paper packet
