Real eBay Items

Good Morning Gentlemen, both excellent questions! I don’t have an answer to that beyond the details looked consistent with original, known pieces I have seen in the past. It’s always quite possible that I’m making a mistake but it looks legit from the pictures.

Meanwhile, in the US, this gem ran through US eBay and sold for a mere $524. You really have to sift through what’s out there but there’s still some beautiful pieces to be had! Both here and in Germany. Yes, cautious bidding and buying has become the order of the day. Personally, I wouldn’t touch anything Albert Order anymore and I’m starting to see some really good copies of the Saxon Merit Order, albeit the higher grades. I have not seen copies of the 1st or 2nd class crosses but I guess it’s just a question of time. Thankfully, the only St. Henry RK copies I’ve seen are easily distinguished from originals. But I’m also sure they will eventually come too.

This one I was unsure of but aging and stitching looked ok, just didn’t care for the opening bid of $80!

I’ve owned a couple of these over the years, always admired the enamel work and writing on this order. No ribbon and yours for a mere 3k asking!!

Hmmm, there are excellent copies of the St. Michael floating around. That one should have hallmarks if legit. Would be the deal of the decade if real.

The "St. Michael Order 2nd Class" piece shown above is a modern forgery.  It therefore should be listed in the "Ebay Fakes" category.

Yup, I'm after that Kette because I have a RAO3mdS mini which I could swap in to complete it. How about this medal bar running in Germany right now? Pretty unusual to see something this nice on fleabay, and also possibly identifiable.

Precedence looks correct to me for a Major-Oberst, although the Austrian piece should technically be at the end.

Cased St. Henry Silver medal, went for 451 EUR.

Had my eye on that one, beautiful medal in a very nice case! I missed out. He also sold this cased Saxon KVK for a reasonable 233 Euro

This one has run through US eBay a couple of times now with no takers at an opening bid of $650. Offers accepted but still unsold. Looks like a good bar to me but no full picture of the reverse posted. I like the combination but don’t think it’s identifiable.

This very nice enlisted Saxon Bar snuck through Germany for only 160-Euro. I was out house hunting and missed the end of the auction! Oh well

And this little set went through eBay.de in a nice case/Godet box for 557- Euro!

Unfortunately, with the exchange rate here in Canada it wasn't worth it for me.
