Jos Le Conté Posted May 27, 2005 Posted May 27, 2005 (edited) My one and only P/O badge..It's a nice one though.Jos. Edited May 31, 2005 by Jos Le Cont
J Temple-West Posted May 28, 2005 Posted May 28, 2005 And that 'one and only' is a very fine example of a 2nd pattern (J2) Juncker. One of the harder P/O's to locate.Very nice, Jos.
Richard Gordon Posted August 4, 2005 Posted August 4, 2005 Thanks for sharing those excellent examples! It's not often these days that P/O from Juncker appear for sale. They're getting rarer and rarer.Rich
ERIC Posted August 4, 2005 Posted August 4, 2005 Great badges guys! If I may, I'll throw mine into the ring. A 1st Pattern Juncker, but complete with an ALUMINUM pin. I can't say for sure that it is a replacement because the area around the hinge is not marred or altered in any way. It appears to be true to the badge. Why?? No idea. This is the first and only I've seen with this style aluminum pin. ERIC[attachmentid=7400]
Larry Lipps Posted August 5, 2005 Posted August 5, 2005 Jos, any chance we couls see a shot of the reverse? Looks like a really excellent example of a though badge to find.
J Temple-West Posted August 5, 2005 Posted August 5, 2005 A very nice badge, Eric.. Congrats. The pin? Well, a superb job of replacement and certainly not a field repair. When you consider that the entire reverse assembly relies on one dab of solder (pin to hinge barrel) it's not surprising that we encounter so many repairs.
ERIC Posted August 5, 2005 Posted August 5, 2005 Thanks JTW! The pin is put into the hinge assembly so good that if one didn't know better one would think that this was the proper pin assembly that was original to the badge. It really is an amazing job! Here's a closer shot of the pin.ERIC[attachmentid=7497]
