    Great photos. Interesting that the field-grade officer wears his pilot badge above his EKI, and in the family portrait, the young Luft son wears his service tunic without a shirt/tie.

    I don't know what the badge is. May be a pre-war party commeration badge.

    This one is interesting because of the collar badge. this is an administrative NCO and he got the silver cross in Spain

    Was it such easy ????

    No, he was certainly appointed to a LW combat unit as administrative and thus got the swords class. Or he was not yet administrative at the time of his turn in Spain.

    Perhaps he was wounded in Spain and therefore transferred to administrative duties... note black wound badge.
