    10. I think we agree then... The core is the most important thing, rust free and black as the devil. The colour of the rims is no big deal as they are usually silver and the patina is normal.... WW2 crosses be a bit different. The final quaestion.... can we automatically assume that if we see a bright, shiny set of WW1 rims... that they have been polished?
    11. Looks to be a core match....

    17. Tito or no Tito... its a damned nice group to have... the Front photo is great, a really objective shot, not a "Get a shot of me for my album, wait, let me take my specs off.... do I look fat from this angle... wait, wait... gotta get the hat on right...." kinda photo.
    18. A dynamite piece of headgear. have you any other items to the man or was this on its own? Is it Flak arty or Arty arty? Thanks Chris

    23. I have found numerous "Ravine of Death!" references to Verdun. One map has it for the Albain Schlucht, but I have informed this is not the right one. Either way... the Albain Schlucht was "The ravine of death" for many soldiers. I would like to share a write up about a brave Pionier who risked his life in one of Verdun's ravines of death, to save a Comrade. http://www.trenchfighter.com/40047/46301.html Thanks Chris
