A question... when a 1915 steel plate shows some dark surface rust spots... is there a way to clean them and not damage the plate... or is it best just to leave it like that? Thanks Chris

1st day of the Somme, casualty on the other side of the wire... The RIR99 was at Thiepval, the 3rd company just to the south west in the Granatloch. The Highland light infantry broke into their lines and wiped out most of the company in hand to hand fighting.

This was a nice find... I have always been happy with this doc, such a junior officer, but has 2 mentions in the reichsarchive histories, for being a Kampf-stud at verdun and at Cambrai...

Hi, I am not sure what bayonet. I tell you, I have never really been interested in Gamaschen and stuff, but just won an auction today that makes me the owner of a total of three pairs... is that the start of the sideline? I begin to really like them!!!
