    1. Ed, that one's a beauty...... Bob, pretty much every higher Mongolian Badge/Order has those symbols in there somewhere. I believe they are all part of a national shield/crest. I'm sure I/we will be quickly corrected.................. please pardon our inexperience!
    2. Well, it might just be a one-piece......... but it sure as heck is still real gold one-piece schiffer
    3. OK, let's be "scientific"...... the RAO as a single piece loose will fetch 200-300 Euro every time. Mounted. Think 300- Euro. The bar, well, as a group, I'd be looking to sell it for $350. That would be a great price to buy it at IMO, so yes, if you can get that bar for $350 or less, buy it and run. If you really like it, which you should as it's a great combination and darn spiffy condition...... I would pay $400 USD for myself at the drop of a hat!
    4. I think DonHoHo had 3 General Bader T-Shirts..... they had a Zep Badge, Observer & Pilot... the story was General Bader wore them under his dress tunic when visiting variuous aviation units prior to 1918... of course they are only for sale with matching General Bader "Tighty-Whitey's"......... but hey, isn't that what Christmas is for??
    5. Oh yeah, if you can buy that 5X bar for $250 run away with it before the seller comes to his senses........
    6. Looks like a wonderful, original bar with a tough to find RAD in Bronze to me!
    7. Sorry, older fuzzy photo. Bought that one in 2002. I will refrain from adding the 1813 EK2, let's keep this to campaign medals!
    8. The Case they came in from Germany. Typical pre-1900 style construction. Made by recipient? Made by collector? We'll never know.
    9. Very nice Jaques.... second bar a "sew-on" type??
    10. Well that's odd, I'm pretty sure Ken maintains a pretty constant supply of them. It's a pity so many of his German sources take such advantage of him as he has a very real passion for this hobby.
    11. Oh yeah........ looks like real gold centers on both of those, so that makes the Bar one an earlier award....
    12. Looks like a gilt PCO4, note the width at the bottom of the ring where the disc attaches? I'm thinking repair as to my eyes, both the 50disc and the cross are quite real. Very tough to find and I cannot recall ever seeing this piece faked... I think you're safe!
    13. Super bar...... always a possibility he was wounded out and then worked at home to support the war effort because he just couldn't quit......
    14. Impressive selection of references..... as with all these things, collector interest and they will print it!
    15. I agree with Bob, the bars from this period are quite colorful to the Legion Condor guys.
    16. Hi Gerd, nice little group. Any paper with it? The enameled badges are beautiful.
    17. The Hessian General Decoration (see post #84 above) came as both a "General Decoration" which would match up nicely with the Kriegsehrenzeichen from Hesse. It also came on the same ribbon as "General Bravery Decoration, or "Tapferkeits=Medaille" which could still pair up with either the KEZ, or the TWM! My inclination on this one is that it is the Hesse piece..... the TWM ribbon is a visibly deeper shade of red in most cases. I'm also quite sure that there's no shortage of "close enough for gubmint" things that occur, so I think without documents, one will never be able to be 100% on this issue.
    18. Nice to see one where the actual regs were followed... "as close to the cross as possible". Nice cross, nice spange!
