Bulgaria Hero of Socialist Labour Stars
Graf replied to Graf's topic in Central & Eastern European States
Hi bbrandon I support the above comments It is original 14 karat Gold They did not make any other Gold Grade The Replica are usually stamped as "R" Here is one from my collection I do not have the same ability as the Seller for close ups, however if you zoom the last picture you will see the A4 within the stamp Cheers Perhaps I have to update the site Also the box is from a later model See the pictures of the boxes as reference However I have seen those Stars in boxes that the do not match the period of the Stars -

Bulgaria FAKE BULGARIAN ORDERS ON THE MARKET
Graf replied to Graf's topic in Central & Eastern European States
Hi Carol I This is OK By the size it looks it is Commander Class. - King Ferdinand Issue that means 63-65 mm wide The dark are is nothing to worry abut The enamel and the War decorations look good Compare with this questionable Commander i listed long time ago Cheers Here two good examples of original Commanders from King Ferdinand period Compare Cheers -
I agree Very nice Star I can add -marked with boar head French mark for Silver

Why he had to sell the Order of the sword on its own For profit?! Also it looks very well preserved comparing to the ones on the bar especially the Legion of Honour and the Order of St Alexander ..and missing Danish Order It does not make any sense to me The Order of the Sward is much more delicate especially the central medallions enamel Any way you have the task to help history by finding the missing orders ..or leave it like it is Cheers

Real Iron Cross Second class 1939?
Graf replied to FALvonKyffhausen's topic in Germany: All Eras: The Iron Cross
It looks OK for me The fake ones do not have such high swastika and the frames and the dates are well defined You can ask the seller if the ring is marked ( usually number for the maker rarely letters and numbers like L/13 ) Most of WW2 EK2 are not marked (like this unmarked from known maker 100) and you have to spend a bit of a time to know who is the maker ..only if you want to know Cheers- 5 replies

IC2 from royal mint in Stuttgart
Graf replied to BlackcowboyBS's topic in Germany: All Eras: The Iron Cross
I used to have EK2 stamped KM and 800 Sadly sold to fellow collector. As far as i remember the reverse side of the iron core was a bit vaulted . not a flat as the the obverse The quality of the core and its finish was excellent -

Yes, I noticed the Officer on the very right of the bottom raw is wearing 4th Class 2nd Grade of the Bulgarian Order for Bravery, I wonder whether this photo is some kind of reunion , because all officers have very close ranks Apart from couple of Majors no highest ranks I can see

Interesting photographs of decorated people
Graf replied to ilieff's topic in Central & Eastern European States
I "borrowed" this photo from the Soviet Union section Browsing at the photo i discovered that the officer on the very right of the lowest raw has Fourth Class second Grade of the Bulgarian Order for Bravery Interesting fact is he is the only one with a Bulgarian Award. Since there is not a lot of information about the photo my wildest guess is that this Group photo is taken after they receive other Awards..and they are from different units.. or some kind of reunion -

Hi Gordon, I looked at the eMedals sale They provide information that does not appear on the page provided They need to provide picture of the next page as those listed bellow If you consider buying this medal you have to request picture of the next page with the name of the award and the dates and the number if eMedals include the Number and the Date they need to list picture of this page if they do not have this page the booklet could be from any other award and might not mach with the award for sale -

Hi Gordon, Thank you for the post We need the next pages for the list of the awards On those two pages we have: on the left - from top to bottom it says place for a picture and then a stamp stating "Valid without picture" and round stamp with ltext "People's' Republic of Bulgaria ..and in the brackets on the very bottom text says "Signature" but not signed by the awarded person on the right page is the name of the awarded person Ivan Georgiev Shmugarski Usually those not signed and without picture booklets are for low level awards Here is a Booklet for Captain who received Fourth Class Second Grade Order for Bravery during WW2 However the practice for list of the awards on the next pages of the booklets (the picture on the right) remained the same after WW2
