Hello, in the book "Bayerns Goldenes Ehrenbuch", which shows the storys about all owners of the Militär-Max-Joseph-Orden, Militärsanitätsehrenzeichen and the Tapferkeitsmedaillie Gold / Silber, said his birthday was in 1892. For over three years I worked on a database about the owners of the bavarian bravery-medal. My references were this book, a brochure of the "Verein der Tapferkeitsmedaillienträger 1955" and the listings of the ancestry-database.

    7. Hello Ed, Ohnesorg joined the Chevaulegers in 1917, 5th escadron 3. Chevaulegersregiment on 22.11.17. His profession was plumber. He changed to the artillery as a driver on 28.1.1918. 2. mobiles Ersatz Bataillon 2. bayerisches Fuß-Artillerie Regiment. He was educated at the rifle 98 and the tubular steel lance. He left the army at 12.11.1918 to his hometown Kaiserslautern. He was awarded with the EK2 on the 18.7.1918. The list of the battles are very difficult to read.

    9. Hello, Ohnesorg changes in January 1918 from the Chevaulegers to the artillery as a driver. He finnished the war with the bayerisches Fußartillerie-Bataillon 28. He was awarded with the EK2 in July 1918. I could find his dates at the ancestry-database. Kaiserslautern is a city in the Pfalz-region, which belongs in this time to bavaria. Thats the reason why he join the bavarian army. Show us some pages. Cheers Andreas

    13. Hello, here is a postcard of the 100 aniversary of the Leibregiment. The picture shows the uniforms of the beginning. Look at the stamp, it is from the "Leiberverein Aschaffenburg".

    15. Hello, that was a award for helpful work, given to members of the redcross. The founder of this award was the redcross-association of Thüringen (Thüringer Landesmännerverein v. Roten Kreuz) I don't know the time it was awarded, but the font looks like early 20th century. Cheers Andreas

    19. Hello. that could be a "Faschinenmesser", a short bavarian artillery-sword M 1892 with lionshead.
