    1. Yep, they are diamonds. According to the jeweler, a old type of cuting, and worthless because irrecoverable....
    2. Had this posted on four different fora, over the 200 views but no answer. Can I asume it is good, but hard to tell??
    3. Just got thise one in. To me it seems ok. It doesnt light up under UV, it feels good at the touch (like silk+/-), and looks simillar compared to my EK II ribbons What do you think? One more pic;
    4. I can't comment, for not knowing the matter. Opinion was given by a expert on a French forum, and no one contradicted him up to now. But I can informe them about your comment.
    5. Thanks Guy. I don't reconize cupper from gold, so for diamonds...don't ask me... ...but first opinion might be they are rose cut diamonds... Further research is going on.
    6. Here is the first response; c'est un képi d'avant 1914 de coupe polo.Deux rangées de broderies donc général de division.Feuilles de chêne donc arme combattante.Soutache argentée symbolisant les plumes blanches du bicorne en haut du bandeau c'est donc un général de division à commandement supérieur. What he is saiyng is; It is a pre-1914 polo-cut cap. Two rows of embroideries therefore general of division. Oak leaves therefore combatant weapon. Silver bracket symbolizing the white feathers of the bicorn at the top of the headband is therefore a general of division with superior command.

    9. Very nice hat! Loved to have one too. I can ask for info on a French forum if you want to.
    10. Looks ok to me. I have got the hat and the insigna. Quiet rare item in that configuration. The hat is on lowest level, the insigna somewhere on the second shelve i think...
    11. Part one of what was retained during the session at the Senate house for the Antique Road show, was broadcast last sunday evening. I was on for a fraction of a second, at the begining. Don't know, if they will show it in part 2, or part 3 (if there is one(lol!)).
    12. Thank you Adler, for helping me out. It is no fun to tell some one that what he proudly shows, in fact is ....rubish. Like I said before, impossible to be specific on this "item" because everything is wrong. When somebody shows a apple and says it is a orange....how do you tell him he is wrong.....
    13. Very well done! I like it very much, problem is I don't have that much wall's...or should I say; "space " left on my wall's....
    14. Hello, yes it is sold. But I got a other one (for sale !). A police officer on canvas (not framed!). And a far better quality then the doc.
    15. It must be quiet hard to read, but it is what it is. And being more specific won't help much.... The form is wrong, the laquer, the finish, the plate,the split pen's...
    16. Hey Guy, any chance to get a closer view...
    17. My latest find, all belonging to Frank Swaelen; https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Frank_Swaelen
