    1. First one is coming up! I will pick it up in a month when traveling south. Here is the seller's pic;
    2. Collection is going slow now. All the money and attention is going to the house at the momment...but never the less, I managed to get this nice sword. To me it is a Belgian chasseur a cheval sword. Seen here with a chasseur a cheval officer shako. But further identification needs to be done.
    3. Hello, your object has nothing to do with militaria. It is a 1930 area stoup, used in schools, small churches and so on. We however have a antiques sub forum in wich the subject would fit better, and can be discussed. cheers |<ris Some identical can be found on; http://www.ebay.de/itm/SCHONE-WEIHWASSER-SCHALE-MOTIV-SAKRAL-TAUBE-DREIFALTIGKEIT-BRONZE-E-HOFFER-/181907440445?hash=item2a5a87433d:g:2Y0AAOSwj0NUa3zf
    4. Hello, welcom. Very nice! And it seems there is more to be dicovered in that war room. cheers |<
    5. I don't know what the first button hole badge may be, but the second one is for WWI wounded soldiers. cheers |<ris
    6. I would be very carrefull with this kind of cap's. Stonemint on WRF could guide you best.
    7. In the book " German Military Cuffbands" by G.Williamson & T. McGuirl.You can see a youngster selling copy cuffbands ,as souvenir, before the end of the war!!His picture appeared in Life magazine of august 6 1945.It says also they where not made to fool any one , they where just made for the "new collector's market". I know cuffbands are no daggers, but things weren't any different for any other military souvenir.
    8. It is thanks! Sorry for the late reply, but the relocation is killing me!!!
    9. Intresting topic. All I have is a misspelt uniform button, but nothing to do with British police forces....it is Dutch. cheers |<ris
    10. There is one (a unofficial, I never saw before) for all decorated men of the town of Berchem; a suburb of Antwerp. He did a full term at the front in WWI (the front bars that comes on the sleeve) and he probably was a engineer, but that might still leave us many Albert's....
    11. Hey Rogi, no it says "decoraties", that meens medals in flemish; so they are "Albert's medals"...nothing more....
    12. Still working on the new house and not much time to spend on fora or on my search for militaria. But still managed to lay hands on this box with medals. Sadly the story is lost; all I know is the guy was called Albert and probably served with the engineers.
    13. Here is what I got today. A other telegraphe medal; with a ribbon this time but still missing the back central button....
    14. Hey Larry, the link is in the same message at the end of the post! cheers |<ris
