    1. Hi Christer, Very nice ribbon bar you have there, congrats. I'm not sure that your bar belonged to a Medic officer. If so he probably received a prussian red cross. Recently during my research I find some Generals (old one who fought in the 1870-1871 war) received the KVK. Christophe
    2. Hi Yo uhave got a very very nice medal. Thanks for sharing it with us. During the Austrian Prussian war in 1866, only 23 crosses were awarded. The S hallmark is for the word Silber Christophe
    3. Hi, Very impressive collection, thanks for your sharing it with us. Christophe
    4. Hi Rick, Here is some date for your friend who has this very nice medal bar SA3X, 28 March 1871, EK2, 19 January 1873, Eichenblattspange 25, 1895, 70-71 DKM, 1871, HJ, April 1904, HLM, 1866, PZM, March 1897. Christophe
    5. Thanks Dave for the informations. I have found additional date od death in the following book : Das Kgl. Sachs 2 Ulanen regiment Nr. 18 (1892-1918). I have found the death date of Boddien (1926) and Poten (1914). About the awards of von Schele, I have found the PRA4 on 1889. Like you said Dave, only 71 Hannovrian officiers went to Saxe and only 14 received the HEAR. I hope, one day, finding more photos of these brave men. Christophe
    6. Thanks all for your information. Very nice picture you had Karsten ! too bad that this one is not in my collection. Dave, I fix the part of von Bülow. He received the AC1 on 16 April 1887. Christophe

    8. Hi everybody, In this topic I have made a lot of research about some Hannovrian medals received by Saxon officiers in XIXth Century. If someone has a medal bar or something to show don't hesitate.
    9. As request, I have delete the officier's name from my post and if a member want to know who is he, I will be happy to share name with him by pm. Christophe
    10. Hi, Very nice medal bar but don't hesitate to show it all. I have found only 11 names of saxon officers who received the St Henry knight cross and silver medal with knight cross 2nd class with X of Albert Order. I have only one name with Anhalt cross : The later Generalmajor was not a flyer !!!, who was second lieutenant in WW1 and serving with IR 181. He received both claps for iron crosses during WW2, and three others WW2 medals. Here is a photo of him, on the left, with his brother Fritz who died during WW1 Christophe
    11. Very impressive Don. I like it very much. I don't remember you could wear both crosses from the same order. I learn everyday thanks Christophe
    12. I remember this chain and after doing the research, my conclusion is the same as you. too bad that such dealers made such mistakes. Christophe
    13. Oh my God. What a beauty. I don't remember a connection between the Reuß and Brunswick. Probably this officer died before receiving the EK2. Like the Brunswick medals are in first position he was probably born in this Country. Just my 2 cents Christophe
    14. Hi, Very nice Chain, very impressive. Just for information, I agree with Glenn about the commander cross. Indeed the crown to Albert Order is appeared on 19 July 1901. Have to see in the RL to see if there is a match or if GM von Plato is the one here. Christophe

    18. Hi everybody, I have already shown it before. But after doing some small research, I have found only one candidate who was in the Karabiner Regiment (who fought in Finnland in 1918) and who received only the Verdienstkreuz mit X. - Wachtmeister Richard Steiner. If someone has something about him concerning the Finnish ribbon, thanks per advance. Christophe
