    1. Great group Chris, and a wonderful story too. Im just about to purchase my first US group, hope they prove to be as interesting! Dan
    2. Hi Histaria This badge dates from between 1950 (the year that the Army Air Corps was disbanded) and 1957, when the crown was swapped got a Queens Crown (as apposed to the Kings crown on this badge) and the text removed. It is made n white metal and i would suggest a price of between £7.00 and £12 sterling. Hope this helps Dan
    3. Too true Leigh! I have some great single BWM and VMs and i tend to prefer them rough around the edges! Thanks for all the info, i will chase it up and post my findings Dan
    4. Thanks for the fast response Michael For some reason the National Archives dont like my bank cards, so this is as far as i have got Cheers Dan
    5. I love this little medal. Its dirty, bashed and looks like it may have lost an argument with a hammer at some time. It cost a fortune and took over a month to arrive. But its been very well loved, and the photo shows some family resemblance to myself and my old dad. It looks from its wear that it has been worn mounted as a group at some time. I would love to know his details. I have never given researching medals much effort and i feel a little lost.... So far i think that he is Harry Jewitt of Hallam, Sheffield. Born 29 November 1901. This would make him 12 at the outbreak of the war. He is the only H Jewitt mentioned in the National archives in the naval ratings. For some reason i cannot view his records online He survived the war, but this is all i know. Could any of you chaps offer any info on young Master Jewitt, or point me in the right direction? Thanks Dan
    6. Hi Chaps I purchased this lone victory medal to Boy 1st class H Jewitt from eBay earlier this year. I collect medals to Jewitt, this being a family name, and have a few great singles and groups. This medal intrigued me as it came with an original photo of H Jewitt in uniform. Please see the photos below -
    7. Hi Stuart The E R Yeo is a favourite of mine as i hail from Bridlington, and i have been collecting examples of their livery for some time now. Your Tarleton (?) is an amzing piece, but i fear it is also a little out of my league at the present time! Once i get time i will post some shots of my small collection Dan
    8. Hi Stuart Just admiring the collection Do you have an East Riding Yeo helmet? Did the East and West R Yeo use the same helmet plate/badege? Dan
    9. I think that is pretty spot on. Do you know anything about the regiment and their actions at Wien? Dan
