    1. Curious to learn, whether these medals, have been updated to C111R now?
    2. Would they have been awarded the British Police LSGC, in the same way that Australia, Papua New Guinea and Nauru, were?
    3. On a recent trip to London, I visited Abney Park Cemetery. The last resting place of Police Constable William Tyler. I took these photographs, which I thought might be of interest? https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tottenham_Outrage
    4. That is interesting, I wonder why there is a Scottish version, but not a Welsh or Northern Ireland version? ☹️
    5. Greatly appreciated. Would very much like to see a C111R example, when such a thing becomes available, if your contact is in a position to do that for us?
    6. The rolling count of physical examples that I’ve actually seen are as follows… 3 to Cwnst 1 to Rhing 1 to Prif Arol
    7. Considering the option to have a Welsh engraved medal has been around for some 14 years now, it is very surprising that none to my knowledge have appeared on the market yet? NWP issue them on a general 50/50 percentage. As far as I’m aware none of the other 3 Welsh forces issue them at all!! It should also be considered that it is, no longer possible to qualify for an E11R version….
    8. I seem to recall that he is in fact paid as the Special CC, so as you say he won’t potentially qualify for an additional LSGC. I assume also that he is not expecting a Coronation medal as he’s only had his medals mounted in the last few days. As Zulu notes, the point I was trying to relate was. I’m not aware of any other Prif Arol LSGC’s, let alone a group that also includes the Kosovo medal and an MBE. But I do take your point about all the medals being general run of the mill in their own right. It’s just the Welsh engraving that sets them apart from other police medals, which I particularly like.
    9. Thought this group might be of interest. Possibly unique…? LSGC is engraved in Welsh Prif Arol (C/Insp), recipient then went on to be the CC of the Special Constabulary.
    10. It appears that these are the final Britannias to feature Queen Elizabeth II on the obverse. The Queen Elizabeth II coins will have a short production run, with a second bullion Britannia design being issued in the new year. The new coin will feature the King Charles III effigy, by Martin Jennings.
    11. Certainly does read that way doesn’t it! Also curious “graciously approved by the king”, what do we read into that? King’s effigy? First C111R medal?
    12. First photograph, of 30 year bar. This group I’m informed belongs to the Chief Constable of the Isle of Man Constabulary. Personally, I think it looks rather nice!
    13. Has anyone seen any further examples of this medal? Not aware of any coming onto the market. Wonder whether, this medal will also include the 30 and 40 year bars like the police LSGC?
    14. Still yet to see an example of the full size version of this medal. Surely it must be the rarest of British police medals? Coupled now with the changed of effigy, would be interesting to see what premium such an example would command, should one ever come into the market!
    15. A former colleague has just received his LSGC at a presentation earlier this month. He qualified for his medal in August. So his intake should in theory be the last NWP E11R LSGC’s to be awarded. The next qualification intake being in October, so again in theory these should be the first C111R LSGC’s? The recipient opted to have his medal engraved in Welsh. Another point of interest, is the fact that he had already received a Special Constabulary LSGC before he became a regular officer. (*photos of the engraving pending)
    16. Saw this example of the 2012 effigy version of the Special Constabulary colonial award. Thought it might be of interest?
    17. Saw this, thought it was interesting that a medal that hasn’t been sanctioned yet. Given the recent announcement of the nuclear vets medal, could this medal now get some traction? https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wider_Service_Medal ……and what then about the National Defence Medal?
    18. NATO Former Yugoslavia (with second tour numeral). General Service Medal (clasp Northern Ireland). Iraq War Medal.
    19. Interesting!! WW2 medals are a mine field!!
