    1. Hi Kapitular Well I think I can speak for all of us if we say that we are trying and I think we should, it almost 100 yeras ago and so little of these kind of details are known nowadays. Still a lot of work to do. How many of the L?beck lifesavingmedals are mentioned in the rolls you have on microfilm? Was it a WWI-award? I am afraid I do not know much about the lifesavingmedals, but am eager to learn more about the L?beck ones David
    2. Hi Werner that's great. It would be an idea that if you were to publish it, the rolls for the GHLO and GHPV should be starting their rolls in 1871, it concludes a nice periode of time (Empire) and another publication can cover a more logic timespan before that (pre imperial) But that is just a thought
    3. Next week, more scans of the L?beck rolls will be available for transcription, so the project is still going strong. In support of that, please keep your L?beck stuff coming
    4. Hi Kapitular welcome to the club. Some of us already know you and I am sure we are very fortunate with having your expertise around. David

    6. No civilians yet, do have Krankentr?ger. Some of the unknown categorie is just unknown because there is no entry of the unit the officers belonged to.
    7. Rick The work is divided up alphabetically, as the rolls are alphabetically aswell. We are still not sure which extra info we should add, if at all. Should we require assistance, we will not hesitate to ask the help of our fellow forumites. Thanks David

    9. Hi I am interested to see how the german officers of the Sch?tztruppen were listed. For example, in Kamerun there were only 12 Kompagnien. How was this situation by the start of the war? Were there seperate lists of all german Kamerun-Sch?tztruppen available? Thanks David

    14. I dont know if these kind of guys are in the book on the Wilhelms-Akademie aswell, which list bio's of militairy doctors. By the way, does the back of the bar have a marine backing?
    15. Well at the other hand, it is just as "easy" as a normall research, as more and more rolls are available: you should first check for possible candidates in the HHOX and L?beck and then look for the ones left on other published rolls. Everytime you find one, you know it cannot be your guy because he only got a HHOX and a L?H. It is a bit more timeconsuming, but actually it is just working the other way around
    16. We will come up with a small statistic insight in how far we are, so you can see our progress in numbers. Maybe before I go on holiday to America September 17-21, but otherwise one of us will post it after that.
    17. Hi I am looking for a scan of page 55 of the book: Rangliste von Beamten der Kaiserlich Deutschen marine f?r 1914, page 55. Heinrich M?ldner should be in there hope someone can help me out Thanks a lot David
    18. Does anybody know if the FA crosses rolls are available, or should I contact the Archives in Oldenburg in order to find out?
    19. Should it be genuine, you maybe want to know the L?beck hanseatic rolls are currently worked on. I don't know about the availability by heart, but there is a thread called "Rolls" which could tell you that, should you be interested in the possibility of identification.
