Hi Chris, all depends, the average head and shoulder portrait I can do in 1-2 hours, it depends on how much "Bling" he is wearing, with ribbon bars, it can take days or sometime weeks to find out exactly what the medals are as I try try to ensure total accuracy. The actual picture is easy, trying to ensure the accuracy of the image can take longer. Some that I've done do take longer. Example attached regards

Hi Carol I, so can I assume that the award may well have been manufactured in another country, hallmarked and then "exported" to Romania for award? or awarded for those "In exile"? Many thanks Alex K I will try to scan in a closer more clearer image of the hallmarks but I admit it is not easy, if I do, then I will post

Megan you mention that the ribbon is a frontline distinction award, assuming it wasn't "Frontine", would it have been awarded in the same format but with a different ribbon? regards Alex K Edit, just spotted the answer on the link you posted!! Edit 2 Looking at the link posted, the Order of the Romanian star is listed, example shown, I have an example which appears to differ to those posted, the quality and authenticity of both the award and ribbon appear to be totally authentic, whist differing from the norm. Hi all, I've been collecting over a period, the Order of the Crown, collection is slowly growing. My problem was obtaining period ribbons for those without any, not quite that easy, so in the end I decided to use modern replacements, not perfect but acceptible to me. The two in question are the Grand Cross sash ribbon and the Commander ribbon. The sash is a full length version as is the commanders, complete with neck ties, I admit they were not particularly cheap, but in the end to me, better to have one them not. Also indicated is a 2nd type with ribbon and rossette, which ribbon is that, any info appreciated regards Alex K

Hi guys fantastic information, it's amazing that a B/W image can be so misleading, particularly when you look at his foreign awards which would appear to match the different levels of grey. I was of course completely wrong in my assumptions, and whilst he was awarded those foreign awards, they do not appear on the ribbon bar photo I posted. much appreciated. best regards Alex K

Hi all, does anyone know what his medal entitlement was? So far I understand that he received British Order of the Bath, French Legion D'H, French Croix de Guerre Belgian Order of Leopold, US Distinguished Service Medal Italy, Order of the Crown, Panama La Solidaridad. One's in red don't appear to be on his bar, leaving 2 unidentified, could they be early US campaign medals? any help much appreciated. Thanks Alex K

Hi all, I wonder if anyone can identify the attached medal ribbons on Hans Frank's NSDAP Reichleiters uniform . They look imperial, possibly iron cross and another, but they look strange. Anyone know his medal entitlement? Thanks for any info.regards Alex K

IMHO cross, jump ring and ribbon mount are original, Sure it's had a few knocks in its time and may have been repaired, but would not worry if the price was right. regards Alex K
