    4. OK thanks for the pointer, I'll do some research Regards
    5. You've just beaten me to it! Particularly the cross indicated, any help appreciated
    6. I think the central (white) Cross looks like wurttemberg Friedrichs order, after that germanic or non Russian at least I'm assuming if precedence being observed
    7. A slightly bigger version, definitely a plm an oakleaves to start with
    8. Just looking at the posted image, the ist one looks like order of the red Eagle to my eyes, can't distinguish anything else unfortunately
    9. Hi yes it looks like the one. I add a belated image credit to omsa. Org
    10. Hi, thanks, unfortunately they are not mine, but I research medals and like to have a reference library of images for my own research, I don't unfortunately remember which site I found them on now, quite an attractive simple cross. Interestingly, it's a bit difficult to determine from the image I posted, but I can't determine that the 1849 ribbon is actually being worn, looks like, its only the later campaign ribbon (for both) , I could be wrong Regards alex
    11. Hi thanks for the additional information, I was begining to think it might be for 1849, nice to have confirmation. Regards Alex I assume this one with correct ribbon?
    12. Just to pick up on this, the two campaign crosses, one I assume will be for 1866, what would the other be for? Thanks
    13. Hi, thanks for the additional information yes I recall that my damaged version is marked for hausinger as manufacturer Regards Alex
    14. Hi, another nice example, especially with the original case, is there any notation on the lid to the case or completely blank? Judging by the size of the cross, the case must be quite small
    15. Hi, forgotten about this thread, that's a nice, iff different example, any idea as to the maker?
    16. Nice order of the crown with swords, type 1, quite difficult to find, looking for one myself
    17. Hi all I realise this is an old thread, but found this which may answer a few questions if they hav'nt already been answered!! No igs 1854 on there Try wearing that on your chest?
    18. Thanks all, I stand corrected, the ribbon of the second one clearly isn't for the ek Regards
    19. Hmm, interesting, given his birthdate obviously not ek's, the second ones look to have plain fronts, so assumed 1813 ek's, Thanks
    20. Hi all, I came across this image of Ludwig Samson Heinrich Arthur Freiherr von und zu der Tann-Rathsamhausen, looking closely at his medal bar, he appears to be wearing 2 ek11's, one I assume is 1870, the other presumably 1813, similarly, 2 x ek1's, same dates? " Was this common or even permitted? Comments appreciated It appears to be an actual photo not a lithograph Regards
