Last time Russian Glory was updated back in Feb. they had one for $1,350. Collect Russian just had a cased example not too long ago, but it appears it has been sold.

Another set just appeared on ebay too. Search "soviet group" and you'll see it. Any thoughts on this one? The documents look bad to me, but are the medals perhaps real?

Collect Russia has the 60th Anniversary badge at $165 and the 70th Anniversary at $95. Of course, this is probably a rather high estimate, knowing this particular dealer I don't know about the large medal. What is it anyway?

When I went to the Edinburgh Military Tattoo two years ago (I think) the Moscow Military Conservatory performed. They were excellent! I think the director was a lieutenant-colonel. Correct me if I am wrong. I took a picture with him (posted below, minus me). He has a soviet distinguished service medal 2nd class and an academy badge, plus other stuff. The conductor had a red star, but he wasn't around when I took this.

I looked through some of the old Markov catalogs. Even though I could not find this specific medal, based on some of the others that I saw, I agree that this was probably from Bukhara. -Alex

Was he, perhaps, Mongolian? I can't find any good info on the web about Mongolian marshalls, though, so I have absolutely no idea if I'm even close on this one.
