    1. Great pics Andy !!!! yes....maybe a wheel May I ask where this is from? what book or source? and are there similiar sources for other units wearing symbols or other units in the same source? 4. That makes no sense at all Jason....see the medals , they talk for themselves..... 9 year service medal from Baden , then Landwehr service medal from Bavaria and and to make it even more funny a 20 years Sicherheitsdienst Auszeichnung from Bavaria (for police and gendamerie)..... mission impossible

    9. crosses and badges of warriors associations related to the german colonies and the Schutztruppe are quit rare and not too often to find....crosses from associations directly located IN the colonies are even harder to find - never seen this special one before , great piece !!!
    10. one more from me....a bit tricky...maybe someone can help to ID this man 100%.... this should be Premier Lieutenant Graf von Klinckowstroem ca. 1875 during the time at Militär Reit Institut Hannover....now I don`t have all the ranklists of that time period and the only Graf Klinckowstroem with matching orders I can find is listet 1874 in the Regiment Garde du Corps....but here it seems to be not the uniform of GdC....any more info on him , did he change the unit in that time period ?
    11. It seems that it took these 2 days to get him back to the own lines...maybe he was in the nomansland between the lines before they were able to rescue him.... auf dem Felde....on the battlefield....interesting and very courious entry
    12. Thanks for confirmation Glenn here is another interesting and not too often seen combination with Russia and a MEZ1 !!! Premier Lieutenant von Spalding , Kürassier Regiment 6
    13. may I put this photo into this thread....don`t want to start a new one.... maybe a bavarian military priest
