And one last pic, it is the same grave but some time has passed, a new grave has been arranged beyond this one and the words on the cross has beginning to fade away, maybe the widow travelled to France after the war and visited the grave? I like theese small simply groups because they tell a lot about the man who fight on the battlefields and the woman left behind. I wonder what became of Anton daughters? christer

Another Picture from Ravensburg , the officer sitting in the middle is a vet from 1870 I belive? He seems to have a row of medals, Anton is sitting to the officers right in the pic. But I was misstaken about the Rgt it is not 122 yet it says 123 on the shoulder boards. I suppose Anton in going to the Front in France soon after this. Christer

I only had rankliste from 1906 and then he was dead, and I did the mistake and looked for ordinarie EK II 1870 when he got a non fighting of course. Thanks again that solved the mystery with my somewhat wounded photo! I just love this forum, its always someone out there who has the answers All the best from sweden Christer

christerd replied to christerd's topic in Great Britain: Orders, Gallantry, Campaign Medals
My small collection is growing!! Just bought two more medals, one 1914/15 Star and a Victory medal to a R.P Creswell 1st Stoker in Royal Navy and after a little searching in the archives.... YES !! Reginald Percy Creswell was ombord the Battleship HMS Marlborough in Jutland 1916 !! Hmm now I am lost , I have now four medals to Royal navy members all participating in the Batlle of Jutland. on three different ships: HMS Castor, HMS Princess Royal and HMS Marlborough The search goes on for more RN medals !!
