Those are some great items Chris! Whoever made them had some real talent! I could not imagine making anything like this in a POW setting, as I am sure that the tools were quite homemade.

In my opinion, Volksturm/HJ items were so non standard that no one could say either way. I have seen just about every combination of everything available used by the Volksturm. I would love to hear the opinion of the HJ folks on this!

Since most of my tunic collection consists of Officer tunics, I figured I would get more bang for my buck if I got an officer's visor to use with them! The sweat shield is gone, so I have no idea who the maker is. The visor itself feels "plushy" and seems to have been a high quality piece!!

That Scottish bugle is really a nice score!! Congrats!
