    1. Yes!! It is a Heer Administrative Official's strap. It has a white layer, which corresponds with the Paymaster branch(and others). The dark green layer on the bottom corresponds with the branch color of the Administrative Depts. All admin officials had the lower dark green layer. Paul
    2. Thanks Gordon!! I have always wondered how to differentiate similar DDR and TR forestry and RR insignia.
    3. His campaign for against unmanly men! Here is that controversial commercial he made(Snickers) that was cancelled . http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0bUxi_Eo6fU
    4. Absolutely correct. The cutter crews in Iraqi Freedom(in the opening days of the war) received the Navy/Marine Corps CAR. I kinda liked it that way!
    5. I dont think that they are reproduction though. I feel that they may be early Railway beamte. I cannot answer for the pips though.
    6. That is a great piece of militaria!! Please do include the other items that came with it!
    7. You do know that the last set(with the tabs) is a Heer Zahlmeister. It is for a Heer Admin Official(Paymaster).
    8. I cannot believe the drastic differences in the variances. Did each unit have different uniforms and requirements?
    9. Thanks Ed. I kinda figured that he was, but I could not find it in the other bios I read on him. I am still surprised that he is wearing that Silver Star like that though...
    10. He is wearing a Silver Star too! Is he a real veteran? I know that he plays a Viet Nam Veteran on the "A Team".
    11. Those boards with the black nebenfarbe are LW Admin Officials. Very nice set. I have no idea what the first set of boards are. Perhaps Rick may?
    12. Here is something we do not see everyday!! KVK2 documents are common enough, but not to a firefighter of the Werkschutz! The document is signed by a General Der Flieger(can anyone recognize his signature?). A special thanks go to Larry Strong for this one. I am indebted to you big time!! Thanks again!
    13. The DDR used very similar boards post war. They are still very uncommon and cool pieces! I will ask some of our DDR collectors, but I think that they are WW2
    14. Those look like high ranking Railroad Officials boards. I dont believe that they are of General Ranking, but I could be wrong. Regardless, they are not commonly seen at all!! :jumping:
    15. It would have been something if the Germans placed the citations with the certificates. I wonder which factory he was attached to? Can anyone make out that signature?
    16. Here is a special KVK2 document to a member of the Werhschutz, Fire Dept. It is signed by a member of Luftgau XI(same as my Penal set!). A special thank you goes to Laurence Strong on getting this one to me!! I am indebted to you!
    17. I will have to break down and buy your book. Is it illustrated? I cannot believe that you were able to find ALL three versions!
    18. Too funny!! I thought that he looked very similar to Freddy Mercury too! I wonder if this is the reason he was so messed up? lol The helmet's resemblance to Darth Vader's is too coincidental to be anything other than intentional! I cannot get over how hot it must have been to wear that helmet and uniform in the sun. So these guy's were the equivalent to the SS in Germany?
