      Those shoulder straps are very misunderstood. Most people(myself included, until I researched them recently) think it was for LW personnel attached to the Luftschutz. Actually, it is the other way around- to a point. Paul

      I have only owned one myself, but I have never seen an M44 with stamps either. I would have to have this one in hand before I could make a decision. I dont really like the Grefeiter cheveron or the application... Who is selling this(unless it is confidential)? Regards Paul

      Me neither. Maybe he was a senior NCO who went into the Reserves and went to school to become a doctor late in life, just to retire from the military just after becoming a doctor and obtaining his commission? Paul

      I have just won this set of Medical Lt insignia from Ebay. Notice that he was both a reservist and a retiree, per the passant loops! These are the first I have seen.
