Thanks Dan, It does not seem to be made of steel, as the slide is. It seems to have half the magnetic pull as the slide, when a magnet is used.

    7. Do you have any background on it? It must have come from a warehouse(unissued). All of the ones I have seen appear to have been abused, (light rust/pitting) and definately used!
    8. Yeah... it is a monthly event. I have been trying to get away to one to meet with a few other forum members... I hope to do so before the winter comes!
    9. It is a beautiful state, yet I am a transplant from the south. I am originally from Texas. I am currently stationed in Portland, yet Maine will be my home for good. I really hated the heat growing up anyway! Where is Farmington? I have heard of it, yet I have not been by the city yet. Regards Paul
    10. Joel, I never noticed this posting before! That is a spectacular piece you have there!!! The best I have ever seen!

    20. You have some really nice stuff too, Joel. Can you please make a scan of your pistol? I would love to see some of the markings! Regards PAul
    21. There is still a paper tag in the tunic.
    22. I would like to see what everyone has in their collection from the Pacific side of the War: Here is mine. It is a complete uniform. Tunic, trousers, belt, canteen, cap, boonie hat, leg wraps, and Arisaka rifle.
