    1. Thank you for the clarification, Ed. It is funny how they have varying ribbon designs for their medals. I bet it is tough to make a medal bar from them... Warm regards Paul
    2. If I did not have too many focuses already, I would definately include imperial medal bars. That is a very nice double cross bar!!! Congrats!
    3. Are you researching these medals? How rare are these medals and packets? Regards Paul
    4. Ouch... I would have loved to have seen that one!
    5. Thank you for the clarification! God, I can be gulliable sometimes! LOL Paul
    6. That is a very nice and minty bar! Is the EK2 maker marked? V/r Paul
    7. Yeah... I know... She could not get time off from her job. We are looking at going to Austria next summer though
    8. Sure! I will try to post it later tonight Thank you for your compliment! Best regards Paul
    9. They are a bit minty, yet they could be period. I see no problems with them. Warm regards Paul
    10. These are very intersting blades with a great history. When I was in the Middle East, we had a lot of Gurkha guards that worked with us. I spent many hours talking to them of their military traditions and etc. They told me that every time the blade was drawn, it had to draw blood before it could be resheathed! Paul
    11. As far as I remember, the is no pin or backing. Just folded ribbon. The metal is hard and light weight. As the medals were professionaly framed, I cannot open the box without causing damage. Thank you for your compliments! Paul
    12. Thank you, Chris and Joe, for your explainations. They both make sense. Thank you for posting this interesting and uncommon bar.
    13. These are some beautiful medals. I do have a couple of questions in reference to them 1. I notice that the various classes of these medals have the same ribbon. My question is that personel awarded more than one class, how did they wear the ribbons? Did they place a certain device on the ribbon bar to denote class? Did they wear the same ribbon more than once for being awarded more than one class? 2. Are these medals still being awarded today? Thank you Warm regards Paul
    14. Hi Dave! Thank you for the translation. I am proud to own this one as it is the only example I have seen complete with the packet. As far as rarity, I would have no clue as these medals are not a field that I am actively collecting. What is the medal with the red and white ribbon?
    15. Here is my contribution to the thread. These are the medals I brought back from my time overseas. The packet is for the wound medal. The framer mounted the packed upside down... Regards Paul
    16. Here are the medals I brought back... The award packet is for the wound medal. They seem to have mounted it upside down when I took it in for mounting.
    17. Rick, Thank you for your compliments. Coming from you, it means a lot. Now for the back of the wound badges. Gold
    18. Thank you Greg. I will dig them out and take some pics this evening, if time permits! Warm regards Paul
    19. I remember seeing this one some time ago! I loved the display then as now! Do you still have it displayed in this manner? It would be and awesome way to permanantly display them! Regards Paul
