    1. Holy crap... I hope that there is some DNA in there somewhere(from Hair) for that price. LOL
    2. This has been a fascinating read. I had no idea that Americans got involved in the Boer War, either as individual adventurists or on an official level.
    3. I really like that M51. I have never seen one of those before. Also, those are some amazing medal bars.
    4. I like the details and etc on this one. If it is a reproduction, I am really scared.
    5. I received these two patches from a friend of mine who is assigned overseas. When I was over there back in 2003 and again in 2004, we had no such swag. For this reason, I am asking folks to see what they can find. These are the first. The "Joe the Camel" patch is for the USCG RAID teams. I was not there on the dates noted on the patch, but it is still a cool one to have. The second patch is for PATFORSWA(PATrol FORces South West Asia), which was my headquarters unit.
    6. These are some excellent insignia. I would almost to go as far as saying one of a kind, for collecting purposes. Congrats on finding them.
    7. Won this lot really inexpensively. I have been searching for this heavy bullion patch for a very long time. The light blue area shows sign of wear and damage, but this is what it is... a very very rare and desirable patch. I love it! I will take more photos when it comes in.
    8. In places where they are legal, how much are they fetching these days?
    9. I know that he did not deploy. He retired in 1959, so he was definitely eligible for the National Defense Service Medal, as seen on his ribbon bar. George, Thank you. I had no idea about the one Good Conduct Medal rule. Do you know(approximately) how long ago that rule changed?
    10. Hi Rick and Larry, He served from 1939 until 1959. He has a National Defense Service Medal on his ribbon bar. I dont know why it is not on medal bar. The medals are: Coast Guard Good Conduct Medal American Defense Service Medal North American Campaign Medical Asiatic Campaign Medal WW2 Victory Medal. His first four years of service were in the Navy. His Navy Good Conduct Medal and National Defense Service Medal are missing. For some reason, it looks as if he opted not to wear his Navy GCM on his CG uniform. Note the absence of it on the CG Ribbon bar.
    11. I say that you have done very well! Thank you for sharing these with us.
    12. I just received this really cool medal and insignia grouping for AMCS Hugh Junor, a WW2 and Korean War era vet.
    13. Those are some great photos. The enlistedman is wearing a political badge?
    14. Looks real to me!! How much are these going for on today's market?
    15. What are these made of? Are there any other markings other than the penned name?
