I really like the Vita Service Medal! What are the going prices for these medals?
    2. Yes it is. The funny thing is that this tab was completely unauthorized. As with the HG Division, medical personnel were supposed to wear the basic blue tabs. This tab, you can see that the blue piping is made from the blue tunic collar cord. I have no doubt that it is original as both the tab and the piping are equally worn (Heavily) and have the same permanet bends and etc. A really cool piece I think. Do you have anything from your wife's great grandfather? Any photos or anything? What years was he a part of the LWFD? I would love to see anything you may have!
    3. Here is what I have for LW Field Division collar tabs. Of special note, see the blue piped tab.
    4. Outstanding grouping! What unit was he attached to? Was he KIA?
    5. Are these type of medals uncommon? I have never heard of such medals before. Are they made of?
    6. Cool stuff guys! I have yet to serve under the command of NATO or the UN. Chris, that is an awesome beret! I have never seen a maker tag like that! Can you show a close up?
    7. No! The CIA! Seriously, we fall under the Department of the Homeland Security, along with the Border Guard, Immigration, the TSA, and others. We are the only non-Dept of Defense military branch of service.
    8. Does anyone else have any Border Guard/Coast Guard related items in their collection?
    9. Here is my newest addition. It is to a Seaman in the Soviet Coast Guard. This set comes complete with a Colani style pea jacket, navy white top, hooped shirt and hat. Being a section of the Border Guard, the Soviet Coast Guard falls under the control of the KGB.
    10. Thanks Bill! It is nice to see a ORS awarded for something other than long service.
    11. Great and highly under appreciated pieces. I was able to grab a dozen or so RPR medals from a pawn shop. I love the National emblem!
    12. Yes, but my question is that when he did get the award, after the end of the war, was it normally an unadulterated TR award or a denazified example(swastika filed out)? How long did it take for awards to catch up with the recipient after the war(normally)? What was the latest award that you have seen catch up to the veterans? I have seen some WW2 vets here in the US receive their awards as recently as last month.
